The good news is that I recorded a nice 35m long video with a market wrap, a look at the week ahead, and a watchlist of stock setups. The other news is that I'm having to fuss my way through "technology" as I get the formatting from my computer to the internet. I can post video on blogspot but the problem is that it comes out the size of a postage stamp.....
I hope to have the video up and running tomorrow. If I don't get the formatting unfussed, then I will type out the watchlist and work on the video again Monday. I am going to make video a regular feature, so this will work soon.....

Dwight,
ReplyDeleteThanks for keeping us in the loop about the video. We're all eagerly anticipating your triumph over Technology. Our 21st century stuff can be so friendly sometimes and at other times, well...
Sure will, Christina.
Thanks Dwight, can't wait!

Dwight,
ReplyDeleteI'm certainly not a tekkie, but I know someone who is. Have you tried to post the video on YouTube and then embed it in the blog? Perhaps that's where the problem lies. Wishing you the best of luck, and thanks for working so diligently on the project!
Thanks Dwight!
ReplyDelete- looking forward to viewing

Hope everyone had a nice weekend.
I'm trying to keep warm, it's 9 degrees here, brrrrr.
Laurie: thanks for the tip, my biggest issue is that most YouTube and Web video is in a format size that I think is worthless to a chartist. And I'm trying to turn all of you into expert chartists, so I'm fighting like crazy to get the output in a nice, large, good resolution. Camtasia is fighting me back and the battle is getting pretty heated, but I have an expert who has figured out multiple output formats and is working with me on specific input formats that may overcome the deficiencies of video. After all this, I may decide to just use a webinar program like a video instead of video itself. It's been very eye-opening to see how fussy video can be, you would think that the video production software companies would have come up with solutions a long, long, long time ago. For now, it is what it is, and perhaps I just haven't figured out some magic video tricks, but I'm working on a system one way or another. It won't do me any good to just create a one-off for everyone that takes so much time and effort that I rarely repeat the process. I want a clean, streamlined, professional, repeatable system in place so I can do this daily (which is why I have been so surprised with the video software - because you would think that they would think that that is exactly what an end-user would want out of their software.....but who am I....)
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty close to something right now, but if I can't get the rendering times down then I will look at webinars (as video) in the future instead of video itself.
