Monday's Trading Day

I won't be able to post a pre-market analysis or any updates today. I opened this post so you would be able to comment to one another as usual. Thank-you for supporting one another while I support other members of my family at this time.

I want you to keep moving forward with your efforts and support one another with your trading this week. I will return and post again when I have taken care of important personal matters. All the best to you with your trading this week.

  8. Got out of my calls this morning for a nice loss. How's everyone else doing?

I'd like to see the Dow hold the 8300 area. It looks like a support zone and is also right at the 61.8% fib line from the 900 point rally on Thursday (I heard once the the 61.8% is the last line of defense for the fibs). If we can hold this area and make a higher low on the 60's, it would mean a higher low on the dailys and I would be entering calls.

  10. Looks like a double top on the 60's and we just broke into the " no fly zone " 8250 to 8300. The 5's set up for a nice put entry but I didnt want to believe it so I am flat.

I want to cherry pick some calls but with this market that is a dangerous idea!!

  11. Put in a low bid of $6.50 for the SPY Dec $85 calls.
$65 area seems to be strong support everytime it drifts down there.
So if I'm filled, great as it would be a reasonable price, if not I move on to next idea.
Cant' watch screen this am hence the low ball strategy.

    Profitable trading to all!

  13. I think I'm going to pick up some calls on DIA because we're due for a bounce off the big drop from Friday and today. I'm gonna put a stop in at 82.75. See how things work out..

  15. 9:10PST - we are nearing the 8500 top of the zone Dwight drew for us on the DOW. I am going to nibble on DIA puts here. If we break above 8550, I'll stop out of my puts and possibly nibble on DIA calls to 8700-8900 on the DOW.

  16. Bought dia calls on the 8300 retset with the 5's and scaled out. Still have my last one and will sell at 8475 or 8600 then get back in with any flag. Holding tough at 8500.

  17. Chickened out, sold my last one! I took the last cookie.

  18. Did enter calls this morning on the DIA before its move up. Looks like we're going to make a higher low on the 60's. This is very positive to me considering we will probably end the day with some type of hammer formation. I'm looking to enter more calls right now.

  20. The market keeps selling at the close so I bought puts @ 83.90 ( the 84.00 break ) and sold at the close. Got stopped out for a couple of small losses during the slow crunching last few hours but all in all an ok day.

They keep saying that the financials arent participating in the upward moves so they doubt the up moves will last without them. Who knows???

  21. None of my low bids were filled. SPY came to within 5 cents of my $6.50 at the close but no cigar!
Good feeling being in command of my desired entry instead of feeling like I am chasing.

HOpe you all fared well today!

  23. Nice job Steve. Francis, it's a good feeling isn't it? I got stopped out of my call from earlier for a small loss and never entered another one, good thing. See what happens tomorrow.
